Autumn Wind
03:48
|
|||
I can smell it in the air, sublime, sublime
It’s tormenting that scent so tempting
Oh what a lie, what a lie, what a lie, what a lie
I can feel my breath escaping lung after lung
Yes one after one till it’s gone
Feel that weight you can just embrace it
Surely crush you in time
There must be something in the Autumn wind
What’s in it blowing keeps us a wondering
And we’ll look and we'll wait and we'll brood and we’ll shake
Till it takes what it needs
And feeds on us all, it will feed on you all, yes feed on us all
Till it takes what it needs then it’s gone
Bones will shake and hearts will break in stories left lost in time
Grab on tight, or get lost in the night
It’s coming for you, ya it’s coming for mine
Something’s coming in the autumn wind
What keeps it blowing keeps us wondering
And we’ll shiver and gasp and we’ll try to relax
But it surely will come
And when it does, hold all your loved ones
Keep them close cause it could consume you and yours
Stick with me girl we can be a stone

Gamble of the Day
03:33
|
|||
It's okay not knowing what to do next you can save
Your contemplations for another day
And when the dormant gusts awake and blow the winds of change
Lift your heels and rearrange, point towards the big parade
But don't wait too long it's just the gamble of the day
Clean your boots, dry your eyes kid and find another way
Then get some goals and keep them, try to meet them
And when you beat them make sure to celebrate the day
And when you find your piece of grass
To call your own, yeah to call your own
Then you'll find another
Just remember that you'll always have a home from home
And one day you'll surely find a mounting pressure bring
Bring you to your knees a push with ease
And if you're unsatisfied by your surroundings Change
Change the outcome of the game and rearrange
But don't wait too long it's just the gamble of the day
Clean your boots, dry your eyes kid and find another way
Then get some goals and keep them, try to meet them
And when you beat them make sure to celebrate the day
And when you find your piece of grass
To call your own, yeah to call your own
Then you'll find another
Just remember that you'll always have a home from home
You don't need to give yourself away
Take a risk or play it safe, take it day by day
But don't wait too long it's just the gamble of the day
Clean your boots, dry your eyes kid and find another way
Then get some goals and keep them, try to meet them
And when you beat them make sure to celebrate the day
And when you find your piece of grass
To call your own, yeah to call your own
Then you'll find another
Just remember that you'll always have a home from home

Ponder Around the Sun
05:14
|
|||
Sometimes when the levees break and I can’t hold my thoughts at bay
The galaxy it comes to me in all of its enormity
Picks me up and carries me one million miles times ninety three to the sun
And I won’t burn or be dropped in, just forced to take the plasma in
Forced to question all I know, in deathly silence to and fro
What’s next for us where will we go?
With smaller teeth? Or fewer toes to boot?
Ponder around my way
Ponder around my way
Ponder around my way the sun
Will they dwell on Paul or John or will these names be forgotten
Muhammad or the Rolling Stones, ideas turned to dust and bone
And when those bones turn sediment, will there be a need for it?
When I die I hope they bury me just flesh and bone under a tree
And I don’t need a law degree to know that the authorities
Will bitch and moan and disagree but every Rome ends certainly
Ponder around my way
Ponder around my way
Ponder around my way the sun
Sometimes when I think of us, I think about the floating dust
And how it dances in the light and when I breath I think I might
Be breathing in the remnants of a man who used to ponder around the sun
